RECORDS

Sound Like You, For Real.

From tracking demos to recording and producing full albums, we bring your ideas a visions to life. But how do we do it!? Well scroll down pal...

Our Creative Philosophy

"Making records that feel real, sound inspiring, and bring people together."

At Wonderhaus,

You don’t hear the gear, you hear the music.

We believe great music starts with great energy — the kind that happens when you’re vibing with your band, hearing the song come together in real time, and feeling inspired by the space around you. That’s why we’ve designed our studio to be more than a room with gear — it’s a place to collaborate, experiment, and enjoy the process.

We Believe In

Live tracking over lifeless takes.

We Promote

Real-time inspiration through vintage gear instruments, analog sound gear, and the freedom to turn it up loud.

We Push For

Getting the sound right on the way in, so you’re already hearing the magic, not guessing what it might sound like later.

We Create

A space that feels like home, because comfort leads to creativity.

We Desire

Community and having fun. Music is a team sport, not a solo grind.

Meet Jake & Noah

JAKE WILLIAMS

Jacob has been making records in studios big & small, home & commercial, since 2015.

He started recording professionally with Mikal Blue at Revolver Recordings, where he learned that there’s no “right” way to record a song.

From there, Jacob built a studio in a house in SFV where he focused on his band, Spectre Jones, as well as recording local bands and artists. That house is also where his partnership with Noah Dearborn developed, and the first recordings the two produced together were done there. During that time he learned the joys of recording to analog tape, how to get big sounds out of small places, and most importantly, that the best work tends to come out of the most fun sessions.

At Wonderhaus Jacob leads the recording side of production, guiding the sound of the record on the way in and following his intuition to find sounds quickly while cutting no corners when it comes to realizing the vision. Wonderhaus is a dream realized, and Jacob is so excited to help artists embrace their musical intuition, reject what others say can be “commercial”, and record things that actually excite them! His playing can be heard in his bands – Effervescent Wonderboys and Spectre Jones.

NOAH DEARBORN

Noah is a lifelong drummer with a passion for playing with sound. From a young age, Noah developed an appreciation for the music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s with a particular favor towards heavier artists like Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Tool. As a classically trained percussionist and jazz musician, he learned the value of listening and how to compliment an ensemble dynamically and energetically.

Professionally, he’s served as staff engineer at Boulevard Recording in Hollywood under Clay Blair working with artists like Sam Fender, Grupo Frontera, Craig Finn, Adam Granduciel (The War on Drugs), Elise Trouw, Shy Carter, Chris Pierce, Vista Kicks, and others.

At Wonderhaus, Noah heads up the mixing side of the operation and loves adding space, dimension, and size to artist projects. His favorite part of every session is when the artist gets a chance to sit in the chair and hear the mixes in progress, an experience which hopefully earns a reaction along the lines of “that’s ridiculous”. Unafraid to mangle audio and play with pedals, dirt, and crazy effects, he thinks the studio should be a place where everyone gets an opportunity to feel excited and newly inspired by their music. Noah’s drumming can be heard in his bands - Effervescent Wonderboys, Corretta, and Heavy Penny.
